No Refurbishing, Please
Antique markets are my jam, but one of the difficult things about shooting old stuff (official term) is much of it is refurbished. I don't want refurbished, I want to see every broken, rusty, bent, corroded bit in full detail.
I remember when I found this vintage Kodak. All the others on the table were shiny and fixed-up, ready for display. I think the guy sold me this one for $5 because it was such a mess. It sits proudly on the mantel in my office, is one of my all-time favorite subjects, and I even redid my logo a few years ago to tie it all together. My latest find is a vintage parking meter - look for that one soon!
