Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! I grew up in Upstate New York, where our costumes were typically flammable with a plastic mask held on with a tiny elastic string (that really hurt if it popped and hit you in the face). They also had to be large enough to fit over your snowsuit or snorkel jacket, since snow was never out of the question. The weather also made it easy for adults (cough, cough MOM) to throw on a sheet with holes & collect candy as a "ghost."

Here in Texas our Halloweens have *not* been very Halloween-y. But this morning? Woke up to 28 degrees with a "feels like" of 19. High today will be 50. Tonight's temp 31. Now THAT's more like it!

Of course, Ava has decided to go as a Lifeguard so...maybe not so great for her. Welcome to my childhood, kiddo!
